It's good to be back in a place with varying elevations, a bajillion trees, the wonderful mountains, and REAL beaches.

Winnipeg was great though.  I met some very cool people.  The Americans really surprised me (a good thing).  Anywho...it sucks that the weather finally started to cool down just as Envirothon was drawing to a close.

Memories:

  • Ball of lettuce - Your boat is waiting to take you back to the homeland Anita!
  • Nicola being first at every testing station, even beating out those tall West Virginian guys with the long legs
  • Writing the postcard, and not getting an answer from ArkansaS  (I swear that guy wasn't from ArkansaS.  There are pictures to prove that the neon yellow/green shirts belong to another team too!)
  • Only spending money in the arcade for House of the Dead and DDR
  • Watching the Maine guys beat House of the Dead while only spending $8 (*tear*)
  • Failing miserably in DDR doubles...finally getting an A rating on a level one difficulty beginner mode, and getting DDR songs stuck in my head
  • Doesn't that Mississippi/Maine/Utah/West Virginia/Oklahoma/California/e.t.c guy look like....
  • Keeping an eye out for the Colonels for Hillson
  • Stealing Hillson's room because it was the biggest and coolest
  • Anita and Nicola in Florida guy's bed
  • Nicola "dancing" to her *favorite* song
  • Hearts with the gang
  • Gossiping with Ms. Kim and beating her in Hearts
  • So hot on the test day that everything was wet...everything...ughhhh
  • Eating the Slim Jim to only find out it was basically a stick of lard
  • Excusing people to only have them stand in the way
  • Immunity to Norovirus?!?!?
  • Lemonade
  • The Winnipeg version of the Grouse Grind and West Coast Trail
  • Going nutty in the sequestration room...only to go into crazy last-minute mode in the final couple hours
  • Angel the official bug killer
  • 30 minute idling buses
  • Pseudo recyclers...boo!
  • Conneticut!
  • Coming from possibly the largest city..which is sort of strange when meeting people from smaller cities
  • Finding out McDonald's pays a starting wage of $15 in Grand Praire, Alberta
  • Nicola's witty but too late response to an American's, "Stop saying eh!" rant - "Stop voting for Bush!"  ...If only you were quicker Nicola.
  • Nicola dissing Winnipeg's "ski hill" and her sad attempt to cover it up - "I said it's crappy.  It is your face...not the hill!  I meant your face!!"
  • Giant Viking statue for Carmine!
  • Yellow shirt guy
  • Going through astrology books and matching descriptions to people

I couldn't have possibly asked for a better experience.  How often is it that a person is able to meet so many people from so many different places?  A special thanks to Dr. V (who was able to stick it out in Winnipeg even though some complications arose) and Ms. Kim (who really stepped up to the plate and was great at soliciting information...a future in espionage perhaps?)!

Bio and Physics tests are over with, finally!  Now, the only test that stands in the way of Manning is Chem.  MANNING.  I can't wait.  It sucks that not everybody is going though..*cough cough*  YOU GUYS KNOW WHO YOU ARE, AND DON'T PRETEND YOU DON'T...

I can't wait for tomorrow to end.  I can't wait for this week to end.  What a crappy ass week.  I need the break sooooooooo bad.

Shoes will make me happy!

Winter break soon!  La la la la.  I can't wait.

Today was so damn dreary.  I blame it on the weather.  Boo.  I'd like to thank Angel for my new found cookie addiction.

Must win that pizza party in English!  That'll mean one class devoted to nothing other than pigging out on pizza.  MmM.

I thought the last week before break would be less stressful.  The week has just begun and it seems as if there's tons to do.  Anywho, 3 more days until FRIDAY.  Friday is when everything happens...

...school officially ends for the year

...Anita leaves for England to embark on her shopping spree for pricey English souvenirs for her poor friends in Vancouver who don't get to go anywhere

...school officially ends for the year

...going shoe shopping downtown!

...school officially ends for the year

...all assigned assignments won't be due until at least 2 weeks later

...school officially ends for the year

To all those going on a trip...ANYWHERE...during the break, *I shake my fist at you*!  I better get some reconcilatory presents the next time I see you.  Yes, you know who you are.

Well, to hold me off until Friday, there is the Grad breakfast AND the Winter Celebration.  Mmm...brain food in the morning and a tres fun potluck at night.  Wednesday...YEAH!

Ahh...I love the Christmas season.
